Nike has been coming up with some creative ideas each year for Go Skateboarding Day in NYC and this year they targeted Williamsburg Brooklyn. Behind the thriving Williamsburg flea market on Kent Avenue and N11th street they setup a pop-up skate park broken out into three sections. Unfortunately the setup is temporary but unique in that each section looks like a major sport environment. The mini ramp was painted to look like a basketball court including 2 hoops and the main area looks like a golf course. All pushing Nike’s message that “skateboarding is not a game” the tag line for Paul Rodriguez’s new shoe (v8). They hosted a demo on GSD along with some contests the day after giving skateboarders a chance to win some decks and kicks. NY Skateboarding's guys shot some photos and clips to give you a closer look.
