GoPro is introducing three new models of its tiny, rugged sports cameras today, including two high-end models and an introductory model that offers a cheaper way to start buying into its camera line. The two high-end models are the Hero4 Black and the Hero4 Silver. The Black model's headline feature is its ability to capture 4K video at 30fps, twice the frame rate that its predecessor was capable of recording. It can also do 1080p at 120fps, which GoPro says is fast enough to "virtually eliminate" the unsightly rolling-shutter effect that comes with shooting digital video. It'll go on sale for $499.

The Hero4 Silver comes in $100 lower and trades the Black model's high frame rates for something new to GoPro's camera line: touchscreen controls, which are meant to make the camera easier to use. The Silver can record 2.7K video at 30fps, 1080p video at 60fps, and 720p video at 120fps. Both the Black and Silver models include built-in Wi-Fi, are waterproof to 131 feet, and are able to capture photos at 12MP too. They'll go on sale October 5th.

Though it's far less capable on shooting speeds, GoPro's third new camera is just as interesting because of its low price: $129, about $70 less than you currently have to spend to get one of its cameras. It's just called the Hero, and it's able to shoot 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 60fps. It's also waterproof down to 131 feet. Though it lacks the high shooting speeds and helpful features of GoPro's new higher-end models, its basic features still make it capable of exactly what GoPro's cameras have become known for: being tiny, tough, and capturing high-resolution video — and that's likely to make it a solid option, particular as other tech companies try to make competitors of their own.
