Vans Dragon SK8滑板系列赛源自2009钱塘江滑板对决赛，赛事以国际化的办赛方式，与世界同步的比赛规则，专业的进口滑板道具，高额的赛事奖金，国际大牌职业滑手表演，中国最高水平选手参赛，而得到业内人士的认可。2011年，赛事年度总奖金额高达13.6万元。其中专业组Best Run比赛单站冠军奖金为5000元，年度总冠军奖金则从10000元飙升至15000元。增设的业余组比赛，也吸引了更多极限与潮流人群的关注。
Starting with the “Battle at the Silver Dragon” in 2009, the Vans Dragon Sk8 Series has grown in notoriety, popularity and legitimacy to become the preeminent series for Chinese skaters. Cash prizes this year total of up to 136,000 RMB. The Vans Dragon SK8 contests’ top prize purse in Pro category is 5,000 RMB, while the top prize at the Finals, Vans Battle at the Silver Dragon in Hangzhou, has risen from 10,000 RMB to 15,000 RMB. The AM contest will give new riders a chance to showcase their skills and potentially head home a winner.
