The pro contest was truly awesome.
Alan Ren, Warren Zhou and He Zi Kai qualified to enter the PRO contest after doing so well in the AM event. Zhang Zi Yang came all the way from Beijing and skated the bowl with speed and style. Street skater Zhou surprised everyone with his ability to skate the bowl and do backside 5.0 tail stall revert on the super sticky ruff SMP cement. Sun Kun Kun skated amazingly throughout the whole day and everyone thought he would win. But in each of his runs he fell and that wasn’t good enough to beat Zhang Zi Yang’s consistent skating. Both Bobby the MC and Nathan the Judge took runs which made it fun and interesting and sent the message that this was a truly core skateboard event for skateboarders by skateboarders.
The High Ollie contest was won by Tan Shuai and the power slide contest was won by Sun Kun Kun.
At the very end there was a last man standing contest which all the pro contestants dropped in the bowl together and the last skater still on his board won. Most the skaters got knocked over by Bobby’s fat ass and the only person skating at the end was Sun Kun Kun.
It was a super fun day. Skaters won prizes and golden hand painted skateboard trophies, wheel medals and a plastic crown and Zhang Zi Yang got to go home with 4000 RMB.
