This project shall display the members of Vans Korea skate team in 2023. Half a year of filming will show proof of the good health the team is in, including an introduction to the team’s latest members. The players are Lee Minhyuk, Choi Eugene, Kim Donghyeok, as well as Im Hyunseong and Hong Hyunseok.
The video will open with a comfortable and balanced intro, followed by a more spirited and fast-paced edit including space-inspired images and graphics. It will deliver diverse images in a visual cocktail with high contrast visuals.
A local band called DEPOSIT300 will be responsible for the entire soundtrack of the piece. As a musical point or reference, search CHS - Semeng (from the 2021 album “Angel Villa”). For the individual parts, the mood will be a no too dark type of Drum ‘n Base. I will have first-hand influence on the song production.
The video will mainly be filmed in and around Seoul. Additional transition spots shall underline the all-round skills of the team, for example the concrete parks in Yang Yang and Manlipo.
My weapon of choice is the HPX170. As a sub camera, I use the BMPCC OG. The video format will be 16:9 at 1080 30p or 60p, depending on what I like better at the end. I use an Opteka 0.3x fish-eye with a lot of vignette for a more dramatic look.
