David Grigarek, a.k.a. IGA, is a skater and designer from the Czech Republic who also does a bit of graffiti and painting. He currently works for the company PRESBETON, which specializes in products used for paving and renovating roads in public and private areas.

Starting in the mid-90s, he participated in various urban public space construction projects, including skate spot design and building. Through this process, he learned how to integrate skateable features into public spaces and mastered the impact of different materials on skateboarding.
For example, granite is superior to marble as a feature because it is harder, more abrasion-resistant, and less prone to chipping; tiles are certainly slick, but they crack easily, chip away, and become extremely dangerous when broken; concrete is best suited for DIY spots, but the surface finishing and edge treatments require a certain level of craftsmanship...
从 90 年代中期开始，他就参与过不同的城市公共空间建设，滑板地形设计与建造。在这个过程中，他也学会了如何把适合滑板的地形融入公共空间，也掌握了不同材料对滑板的影响。
比如花岗岩作为地形就优于大理石，因为它更硬、更耐磨、且不易碎裂；瓷砖确实滑，但容易裂，易剥落，且破碎后极具危险性；混凝土最适合 diy 地形，但表面处理和边缘处理都需要一定工艺……
Skate Spots Guides
But even the DIY spots he works on with skaters are what he calls his "above ground" projects. IGA also has a very "underground" project, which is the creation of those "Skate Spot Guides" for different cities that we mentioned at the beginning.
In 2022, he produced the first guide, Barcelona Skate Spots. This book not only cataloged the local spots but also documented the material, size, skateability, and some of the history of each feature.
不过就算是和滑手的 diy 地形，也都是他比较“地上”的项目，IGA 还有一个非常“地下”的项目，就是制作了开头那些不同城市的“滑板地形图鉴”。
2022 年，他制作了第一本图鉴《巴塞罗那滑板地形》，这本书不仅仅是收录了当地地形，还标注了地形的材质，大小，可滑性，以及一些历史。
However, for his next project, he did not turn his attention back to his closest home turf or other regions in Europe, but instead released a spot guide covering the spots in Guangzhou, Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai.
不过接下来，他并没有把目光放回离自己最近的家乡或欧洲其他地区，而是推出了一本包括广州，北京，成都和上海的地形图鉴。
He also produced a skate calendar, with the cover featuring the classic Shanghai spot, the Concert Hall Lightning Ledge.
同时，他还制作了一本滑板日历，封面就是上海经典的音乐厅闪电台。
IGA also told us that when he came to Beijing in 2011, he discovered many spots. Over the following years, he visited several other Chinese cities, which left a deep impression on him.
Since then, he has gone on to produce guides for many cities in the Czech Republic, guides for famous skate spots worldwide, and even guides for conceptual skate terrain.
IGA 也告诉我们，因为他 2011 年来北京时就发现了不少地形。在随后的几年中，他又拜访了不少中国城市，因此留下了深刻印象。
在之后，他陆续制作了捷克很多城市的图鉴，世界著名滑板地形图鉴，甚至是滑板概念地形图鉴。
His latest spot guide is Chongqing Skate Spots.
他的最新图鉴，就是《重庆滑板地形》。
These spots were all filmed when he came to China last year. At the time, IGA was furiously checking out spots, posting over a dozen updates to social media in a row.
这些地形都是他去年来中国拍摄的，当时 IGA 也是疯狂打卡，一连发了十几个社交媒体。
At the same time, he also released a video introducing Chongqing's skate spots to foreign skaters.
同时他还出了一个视频，为外国滑手介绍重庆的地形。
Recently, visited Hangzhou and hang out with local skate Ayong, and he plans to release a Hangzhou Skate Spot Guide afterward.
最近一段时间，他则是和阿勇等一行人拜访了杭州，之后打算推出一本《杭州地形图鉴》。
Although he has produced many books, up until now, IGA has only made a very limited quantity for each city, and they are not for public sale. This is because he is worried that many natural spots, if made too public, could face strict policing or even the risk of being demolished. IGA hopes his guides only go "to the people who genuinely skate."
Therefore, many spots lack detailed descriptions or precise addresses; instead, he uses "clues + close-up photos" as guidance. You might not be able to find many of the spots, but you know they are out there 😂.
The books even include QR codes, allowing skaters to scan and watch videos he filmed at certain locations.
虽然做了很多书，但目前为止，IGA 每一个城市都只做了很少的量，并且不公开售卖。因为他怕很多天然地形，会因为太过于公开化，而遭到严格管控，甚至拆除的风险。IGA 希望自己的图鉴能“给真正会滑的人”。
所以其实很多地形他不会有详细介绍或精确地址，而是用“线索+局部图”引导。很多地形，你可能不一定找得到它们，但你知道它就在那儿😂。
书里甚至会有二维码，滑手通过扫描可以看到他为一些地形拍摄的影片。
Private Skatepark
After talking about his spot guides, let's introduce the private skatepark he built in the Czech Republic. Naturally, there will be no public address or related information for this location either.
说完了他的地形图鉴，最后给大家简单介绍下他在捷克的私人滑板场。当然，这里也不会有任何公开地址等信息。
IGA named the skatepark WU ZEN Skatepark, inspired by his favorite legendary rap group, the Wu-Tang Clan. You can see that the park primarily features ledges and incorporates landscape and monument elements into its design.
IGA 为滑板场取名 WU ZEN 滑板公园，源自他最爱的 Wu-Tang Clan 传奇说唱团体。你可以看到整个场地以台子为主，并且有景观和纪念碑元素的存在。
The entire landscape features a strong sense of Eastern aesthetics, including stone lions. In some corners, there are monuments referencing Philadelphia’s LOVE PARK and the Wu-Tang Clan.
整个景观很有东方美学的感觉，甚至能看到石狮子。在一些角落则有费城 LOVE PARK，Wu-Tang Clan 的纪念碑。
This private skatepark, just like IGA's guides, has no detail address, no purchase link, if you know it, you know it.
